He was 68, born in Pasadena, and died of pancreatic cancer at the Downey Community Health Center Dec. 14.
He was a former employee of the County of Los Angeles for 23 years, and served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra; his children, Shyla, Pam and Gary; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pastor John Rose officiated. Arrangements were by the Miller-Mies Mortuary.
He was 87, born Nov. 8, 1914 in Olivette, Illinois, and died here of congestive heart failure Dec. 25.
He attended Los Angeles City College, and lived in Downey more than 60 years.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie L. Floyd; his son, Allen M. Floyd of Hacienda Heights; his daughter, Sally Seville of Downey; a sister, Nancy Holley; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were by the Accord Cremation and Burial Services of Brea.
The family moved to Huntington Park in 1922. She was born to parents John H. and Irene Reardon, both of whom preceded her in death in 1965 and 1978.
She married David B. Jones, also from Huntington Park, on April 2, 1940, in the Mormon Temple in Salt Lake City.
She subscribed to the adage, "Idle hands are the devil's workshop," and kept herself busy by sewing for family members and crocheting afghans for them and her friends.
She is survived by her husband, David; daughters Patricia Ann and Peggy Lee; grandchildren Sheri (Randy) Gibbs, Rachel (Tony) Benjamin, Patricia (Corey) Fuller, and David and Jonathan Leach; two greatgrandsons Joshua Gibbs and Conner Benjamin; sister Zoe Kaucher (John); brother Robert Reardon (Evelyn); and nieces and nephews.
She was interred at the Spanish Fork City cemetery.
He was born in Braggs, Oklahoma and was employed by Dutch Boy Paints.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ida May; daughter Mavis Cain; son Junior (Phylis); granddaughters Regina and Paula Cain; and sister Alice Bloodworth.
Burial was private and was handled by Miller-Mies Mortuary. The family requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory to Hospice of Interhealth, 10742 Valley View, Whittier, CA
He worked for Procon Construction Company and attended Holy Family Catholic Church. He had been a resident of the city for 6 months.
He is survived his wife Malou, sons Andrew and Mark, and daughter Chiann.
A visitation and rosary were held Dec. 28 at the Miller-Mies Mortuary Chapel.
He was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Covina.
